Ingrown Toenail

Diagnosis

This disease affects the skin surrounding the nail. Causing local swelling, causing some degree of pain and discomfort. Usually, it affects the toe of the big toe. The corner of the nail penetrates into the skin, interfering with the skin surface, sometimes causing infection and inflammation of the tissue. Pus or fluid may leak from the affected area and may occasionally be accompanied by unpleasant odors. Although the nail appears to be penetrating the skin, its growth will remain completely normal. This condition is mainly due to the neglect of foot care, inadequate hygiene and improper cutting of the leg. The nails should be straight cut off! It is also better to cut the legs too short. Narrow or too large shoes can create pressure build-ups around the big toes, and if this becomes a repetitive practice, it can lead to the ingrown toenail. If the condition becomes over-advanced, minor surgical intervention may be required when the nail is completely removed, and antibiotics are given.

Prevention

Observe the correct hygiene and prevent the nail from shortening to ensure a straight increase. If we notice that our nails will grow again, place a thin piece of cotton or gauze under the nail, which prevents repeated rejection as a kind of wedge.

The ingrown of toenails can be prevented by careful nail care and proper nail clipping while ensuring that the shoe pressure is as small as possible.

If it is noticeable in time, the forked nails can be removed from the skin when we strike back the nails after ten minutes of bitter skinnings every day.

Ask your doctor for help

If the nail is too deeply embedded in the skin, we can not fix the problem by simply surrounding the nail. The congestion of congested nail (often fungal) sometimes requires the partial or complete removal of the affected toe. This is usually a simple, minute-minute intervention. It can be eaten before or after the patient can continue his daily activities. If you use a thinning blood drug, such as warfarin or aspirin, or preparations of herbal origin such as ginger, garlic, ginkgo, autumn margarine, fish oil or nattokinase, they should be discontinued three days before the intervention. If you are taking a steroid or other medicine that affects the immune system, please ask your doctor for advice about the risks of interfering with the medicine to avoid infection. As part of the procedure, they are anesthetized by a local anesthetic, lidocaine without epinephrine (adrenaline). The most unpleasant part of the process is the administration of anesthesia (like a dental surgery), as the skin is thoroughly numb and can not feel pain. After the local anesthetic injection, use a special scissor to lift and cut the nail. The area is fixed, and local daily antibiotic ointment should be used daily for five days, or the area should be clean and dry.

Phenol; In case of repeated toenail problems or infection after nail clipping, phenol can be applied to the nail bed, resulting in death and nail never returning. Tell your doctor if you have peripheral vascular disease, wound healing disturbance (which may be the case with diabetes, for example), or you have a disease we need to take blood thinning medication!

Inflammatory drugs; Intervention rarely has complications. Among them is the mild pain of 24 hours, which is readily available without a prescription or with a herbal anti-inflammatory agent. Sometimes bleeding may occur, but it should stop within a few hours. If not, call your doctor. After healing, no perception change can be left behind.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Herbs

Herbaceous foot bath: 30 g of the Millettia dielsiana root (Ji Xue Teng), 30 g of Scrophularia mingpoensis root (Xuan Shen) and 20 g of Celtic rootstock (Corydalisyanhusuo ‘”, C. bulbosa, Yan Hu Suo) should be boiled in a pot with five glasses of water for five minutes (Phellodendron amurense), then add a glass of water (20 to 20 g) of pheasant (Phellodendron amurense), with a glass of water (20-20 g), and then let it boil for 20 to 30 minutes a day (Huang Bai) and Bushy Peeled Root (Scutellaria baicalensis, Huang Qin) should be prepared and soaked in the same way as before. This treatment can alleviate the pain caused by the toothed toe and improve local circulation.

Acupuncture

Treatment can help alleviate pain and prevent inflammation of your toes by managing overcrowded energy balance and flowing in the right direction of energy flow. Moxtherapy may also be used to treat this condition.

Meal

Foods that are rich in Vitamin B and which strengthen blood and bones, dry beans, soybeans, spinach, dark green leaves, fish and seafood, lambs, chicken, beef, and pork. It is recommended to consume soups of bones made from bones to provide natural calcium. For this purpose, any bony meat that is good enough to cook with a little salt and a few drops of vinegar at low temperatures, the resulting broth can be consumed either directly or as a basis for additional meals.

Natural medicine

The nail is circled in U shape at the tip of the nail, leaving the edges angularly. Slide some cotton threads under the edge of the nail to prevent them from getting into the meat. Cut the ends of the cotton thread short, so that they are not in the way so that you can leave them for a few days or even weeks. By this method we separate the nail from the side of the nail bed, allowing the tissue to be healed while ensuring the normal growth of the nail.

Homeopathy

The main purpose is to provide homeopathy as an adequate complement therapeutic and to accelerate healing after the perforated nail has been removed. You can choose between the following agents, depending on how your nails have been treated.

Arnica montana: The Arnica is the first to be chosen whenever the body is traumatized. Can be administered before and after surgery, or even with minor sensitivity and abrasion. Also, use the overturn if a larger, well-defined pressure sensitivity occurs with acute pain.

Hypericum perforatum. It is a very good complement and follow-up therapy for the flood, in cases where areas are affected by injuries that are full of nerves, such as fingers and toes. It is useful in every case when it is of neurogenic origin, or it is painful, it is sharp, lightning-stricken and worsens with all the vibrations.

Phytotherapy

In the case of an ingrown toenail, with herbal substances, pain, inflammation and infection can be reduced.

Tea Tree Oil: Apply 2-3 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) to the inflamed area by carefully dropping the skin from the nail. The treatment can be repeated several times a day. In this way, we not only mechanically correct the incubation, but the disinfecting tea tree oil destroys the infectious bacteria locally. It is important to buy essential oils from a reliable source (e.g., from a pharmacy where pharmacopeia oil is available), as this is only to ensure that high quality, undiluted oil is obtained. In the case of skin irritation, treatment should be discontinued, and treatment with neutral oil with essential oil should be continued after decreasing blood pressure.
